Yes. We clear the gutters and the downspouts, since a clogged downspout can back up the whole system.

My house is surrounded by trees. Is there anything that helps?
Homes with heavy tree cover can be good candidates for gutter guards. We install standard guards and premium micro-mesh guards, which do a better job with pine needles and maple debris. Guards are optional, and we're happy to tell you whether they make sense for your home. See gutter guards.
